Eating at The Saracen's

We are very proud to have an award-winning kitchen, with four stars from AA marking our culinary excellence. Known locally as a ‘hidden gem’ our restaurant is renowned for its exceptional quality of cooking.

All our food is locally sourced where possible, which means everything is seasonal and fresh. The menu changes often due to what’s fresh and in season and supply, our food is all influenced by the wonderful Norfolk landscape and our ingredients are carefully picked for their quality, locality and sustainability. Our kitchen is dedicated to ensuring each dish goes out to our exacting standards, we are a small family-run restaurant, so everyone works as a team to produce and serve quality food.

Our menu is updated every week or so, depending on what’s changing in the season, so expect to find crab, seafood, asparagus and strawberries in summer, and more hearty, rich game and robust meat dishes in winter. Veggie lovers are catered for with as much care as meat eaters; we love to cook with the abundance of local veg, every menu has at least one dish from the starters and mains which celebrates locally grown produce at its best.

'I stopped for lunch. Garlic mushrooms followed by Bream with shrimps, capers and veg. Both were great, very very tasty. Service was warm, friendly and relaxed in an attractive courtyard setting. Recommended.'

'Absolutely fantastic meal and atmosphere. We rang ahead to say we were running late because of work. Not a problem they looked after the rest of our party very nicely.'
